Brixton’s Baddest x Flippin Youth

flipping_v1Our paths had crossed couple of times with Flippin Youth . We ve heard before that there is a Brixton based charity looking to build a skatepark in Brixton.

So when our friend Gordon at Buster Mantis-born and bred Jamaican- mentioned  he is planning a fundraising event for them we were keen to get involved!

Thanks to our beloved supplier at Jamland Unite and our local Brixton Pound we managed to put some products together where all profits went to FY from both in store and online sales for the week of the event. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTED US!

Flipping Youth is a UK registered charity. As a volunteer based, non-profit organisation, they aim to empower young people through action sports and the arts.

Flipping Youth uses sports to transform the lives of people in a community, particularly young people, by creating dynamic new paths to self-confidence and responsibility for each other and their environment. The personal challenges offered by action sports create enjoyment through learning how to overcome obstacles and use energy creatively.

They work in communities that struggle with youth violence and high levels of crime amongst young people and their aim is to provide action sports facilities for those not lucky enough to have them built by their local government.

Here is some photos from the night!

Special thanks to Amy and Helena for coming down!
